Have Some Art and Life and Shit

Wow I've been gone for a while. Anyway, I just finished my Fall semester of my junior year of college and next semester I'll be starting an internship with The Florida Review literary journal as an editor-in-training.

In terms of art things, I've become the new leader of the Samurai Duelers League on Deviantart and our revamp of the League has been going well so far. Personally, I haven't had time to get my boys re-registered so that's one of my goals over break. Unfortunately, drawing and I haven't been getting along too well.

Figured I'd update some life-junk. I'm out of school for the summer and have spent practically the entire time looking for a job. Had an interview and got the job but the work area and people were really awful so I declined it.

SDL has been slow lately and we're planning on doing a complete rehaul of the system, hoping to trim it down and get its activity up. It should work.

At the moment I have a 10-page black and white duel due within two weeks so I suppose I should get working on that. I only have about a page done and the rest mostly planned out. Planning on using a new style with solid-black shading. Here was one of my test sketches:

Lately I haven't been particularly happy with my art so I've decided to slow down on the drawing for fun and work on some basics. It reminds me of how much work I need.
